I decided on a place for the Moroso Accumulator, finally, and it worked out great. I will need just a 6-inch piece of #12AN hose to plumb the Accumulator to the oil pump on the engine. The Accumulator will allow me to pre-lube the engine every time and should really reduce wear and tear from cold starts.

The black spacer between the oil pump and the System 1 oil filter is a product from Canton Racing. It will allow me to hook the Accumulator up very close to the main oil galley with ease. It spins on right where I took the filter off and the filter spins onto the adapter. It comes with a 1/2" NPT which is just right to plumb the #12 line into from the Accumulator. Under $50 and it works. Thanks Canton Racing Products!

Well that about wraps up this "Project 4-Link" article for this time. If you have any questions or comments please email me at jok@racingnetsource.com. Coming up next will be a really thorough article on a subject I thought I knew a lot about but found out I did not! Batteries -- we all have them, but what is the best battery for how we use them? From tow vehicles, trailers, race cars with alternators and race cars without alternator we look them all over. Some of this information should surprise you; it sure woke me up!! Have a great start to your race season. Hope to see you at the races!
