As you can tell I am not a converter expert but here are a few things you can try that might work for you, they sure did for me.

When getting warmed up for the races I always try to have at least 130 degrees in transfluid before the first run. I don't know if it is more consistent, but at least all the clutches and internal parts will be "up to temp" so to speak before they go under load. Just like the race engine, you don't run it without a thorough warm-up do you?I was having some inconsistent 60-foot times at a track and I lowered the start line chip twice to "soften the launch" a little. On my four-link dragster that was the wrong way to go. I ended up going up to 5400 (from 4400) to be more aggressive and it cured the problem. Six runs and .002 variance in 60 feet. Worth a try if you are having 60-foot problems.

Warming it up on jackstands: This is a subject I hope everyone considers. At some events there isn't space nor time to drive the car around to warm it up, which I think is the best way to put heat into the engine and drivetrain. If you use a floorjack to raise the car please use jackstands or other means of support under the car. I still can't believe how many racers I see walking around their car while it is running in gear with the rear tires spinning held up by a floorjack. Damn. What if the $.39 seal on the jack cylinder fails -- good bye race car and you just hope nobody is sitting in front of it! I am all for warming everything up but please do it safely.

I want to thank the following companies for helping me on "Project 4-Link" to get the right combination to put us into the winner's circle in a short period of time.
