This is the vertical-mounted Painless Toggle switch panel. It comes pre-wired, fused and all color-coded. This style could also be mounted horizontally under a dash and just turn the toggles 90 degrees.

One more tip we always use: Run a good ground wire (we use #6 welding cable) from the battery to the engine block and to a good location by the dash to run all your ground wires to. Transbrake ground, water and fuel pump grounds, throttle stop solenoids, shifter solenoids, delay box, everything should be grounded to cable that goes directly to the battery(s). If you use the frame or aluminum panels for a ground, you are asking for electrical problems.

This is where the new wires pretty much end up. The loom that comes from Painless Wiring is the slickest thing I have worked with. Relays for the shifter and Fuel pump can be seen as can the MSD 7AL-3. The Optima Red battery is on the other side of the foot panel as is the shut-off and master cylinder.

New dash panel that Andy carved out of some aluminum at work including the Digital Delay Mega 450 delay box (it is a lot more than that with built-in practice tree and playback digital tachometer) and the two gauges we feel are the most important, oil pressure and water temperature. The blue button is to reset the playback feature and the red light is a low oil pressure warning light. What is a steering wheel without three buttons? I don't know; both our dragsters are set up that way.

That is a quick update of where we are, but there are a lot of improvements we have to make and a lot of home-made stuff we will be using on this dragster. Stay tuned, as the next few months will be a lot of fun trying to see what we can get out of the "Back-2-Basics" before our race season up here ends.

Good luck in your racing and be safe out there!
