Patented and SFI-certified, J.W. manufactures these bellhousings in a continually expanding number of models. They bridge the gap between the UltraCase and just about any brand, style and size of engine used in drag racing, without adaptors. The only exceptions are UltraBell kits adapting Chrysler's early 331-354-392 Hemis to 'Glides and TurboHydros, which do include a mandatory adapter plate. A racer will have to cut off or unbolt the bellhousing on a stock case. J.W.'s in-house CNC machining of the UltraBell is said to assure a precise, out-of-the-box alignment of engine and transmission, eliminating the mounting and misalignment problems previously associated with mixing and matching different engine makes to a GM-style Powerglide.

Over the past 24 years, John Winters has designed and built many parts to help racers and transmission manufacturers build reliable Powerglides. "You can pay me now or pay me later" is especially true if a racer uses stock components in a drag racing car. Today's high horsepower bracket, class, or street cars require stronger and better drivetrain parts. John Winters is still in the shop designing and building better parts for the future.
