This is all that remains of a car that was found in track owner Scott Gardner’s personal parking spot late Friday night. The announcer told the crowd that the car had to be moved or would be towed and away and crushed…a threat often made over the years. This is the first known instance of it actually happening. This is first time in known history that the threat was followed up on.

PRO MOD QUALIFYING

Jeff Belloma’s “Beast From the East” Supercharged ’63 Corvette improved (a little)from its disastrous Kansas City outing earlier this month qualifying fifth  with an 8.97 at Cordova.

Chuck Weck wacked his way into the Cordova show with a so-so 7.30 but a solid 205.60 that was good for third in the World Series Pro Mod show. Not bad for on a track with 114 degrees of heat
