AA/Gas
A trio of terribly tempestuous tire turners could put together
an epic weekend by bringing home the number one plate. Ed
Moss, Chris Abbey and John Peterson are the players, in that
order in this program.

people talking about how close they are. THESE guys are in
a points battle! With a mere 32 points separating the top

five positions, this is a dogfight. James Data, Don Chemello,
Richard Facciano, Augestine Herrera and Goodguy poster boy,
Mark Mahood are all very capable of going rounds. This class
is the one to watch.
All the other classes, while exciting in their own right,
just don’t have the media attention with their points
chase. The exception should be D/Gas, with a close race between
Edward Carey, Larry Spies, George Madden and Roy Sommers.
Well, this media guy cares! Happy hunting, guys! Let’s
give the other points leaders a rousing round of applause
for being at the top of their respective heaps.
B/Gas: Jim Scwhartz
C/Gas: former south bay BMX star, Paul Giacalone
We talked D/Gas and that toss up.
NE 1: Don Taros
NE 2: Dan Schrokosch
NE 3: an absolute runaway by Craig Wallace
Hot Rod: the jury’s out if this one is a fight, Jeff
Crider is on top for now
As is usual for this time of year some teams are using the
last race as a tune up for next year. I know of one team,
that shall remain nameless, that has changed everything except
the air in the tires! So, if any of you folks can stop by
our pit at Famoso, please do. Good luck to all and let’s
be safe! See you all in Bakersfield.
