COMING TO A PRO STREET RACE NEAR YOU
Mike Castellana is going to take his red and black '69
Camaro that has run as quick as 6.15 in legal IHRA Pro
Mod trim and take it over to NMCA and NMSA next year. He
will convert the car to legal Pro Street configuration.
Apparently, the New York-based racer feels those venues
may be better for him to race and test his Speedtech nitrous
systems. The Camaro was always too heavy for IHRA/NHRA
Pro Mod racing and Castellana is taking delivery of a new
Tim McAmis car soon, so it makes sense for him to take
the Camaro to the street. Pro Street that is. (Ron Lewis

RIGHT OR WRONG?
The Agent was told yesterday by a good source that there
was a good chance that Von Smith was gone at Lipar Racing
and that a couple of old pros, Tommy Gray and Mitch Stott,
would soon be joining the team. Well, DRO got the list
of invitees for the first TLR/AMS Pro Mod race at Gainesville
next March and the Agent noticed that Von Smith and TLR
public relations man Joshua Hernandez were listed to drive
for Lipar racing. So the question is, was the Agent wrong
or...? [12-15-2004]
MAKING A LIST, CHECKING IT TWICE
We present the list of invitees to the first NHRA Pro
Mod exhibition race of 2005. Agent 13 20 found that list
to contain more than a few surprises. Perhaps the biggest
was that Mike Ashley team driver Danny Rowe's name didn't
appear on the list! Wassup with that? The Agent also
noted that Mitch Stott wasn't on the list but his brother
Quain was. Then there were the names Cody Barklage, Scott
Cannon, Joshua Hernandez, Kirk Kuhns, Shelly

Payne, Mike
Moran and Troy Coughlin, just to name a few, who either
have competed on the AMS circuit in a very limited way
or never have made a lap. Could it be that finding 20 teams
that would commit to all 14 AMS races was harder than thought?
Following is the official list of invited drivers for
the 2004 AMS TLR opener in Gainesville: Mike Ashley, Zach
Barklage, Cody Barklage, Scott Cannon, Mike Castellana,
Troy Critchley, Troy Coughlin, Dale Brinsfield, Joshua
Hernandez, Ed Hoover, Shannon Jenkins, Glenn Kerunsky,
Chip King, Kirk Kuhns, Mike Moran, Thomas Patterson, Jay
Payne, Shelly Payne, Von Smith and Quain Stott. [12-15-2004]
