In a period from the third weekend in March through the
last weekend in April Top Fuel and Pro Mod racers competing
on both the IHRA and NHRA tour next year will have six
races in seven weeks with five of them on consecutive weekends.
The Agent figures the racers who will be tested the hardest
are the Pro Modified racers who will have to make some

HRA2Day Sunday mornings
on ESPN2 replacing Bill Stephens who has gone to Masters
Entertainment. Reid will remain as the host of NHRA POWERade
event broadcasts with Mike Dunn. Other changes next season
for the TV program will be to find a replacement for
event show producer Jeff Politsch, who left the broadcast
team.
Also the Agent talked to NHRA and ESPN personality Alan
Reinhart, who said that he's opened his own fabrication
shop in Tucson, AZ. He calls the place Wild West Engineering.
And the Agent thought he was just a pretty face. Who knew

TOP SPORTSMAN ADDED TO SUPER CHEVY
SHOW SCHEDULE
Super Chevy major-domo, Roger Gustin, let Agent 1320 know
that for the 2005 season he has decided to add a Top Sportsman
doorslammer class to his Super Chevy Shows. That means
in addition to a $3000 to win bracket show and, of course,
the Agent's favorite class, Nitro Coupe, now fans also
will get to see a fast doorslammer class.
Gustin also dropped the bomb on the Agent that next year
any(!) GM car will be allowed to race at Super Chevy Show
events. Now, calm down all you Chevy purists. [12-15-2004]
CALL HIM MR. PRESIDENT
Scott Weney, son of S&W founder Walt Weney, has assumed
the office of President of his family owned company. Scott
(at left with his father) is a former IHRA World Champion
and many time winner on both the NHRA and IHRA circuits.
