PRO STOCK TRUCK TRIAL DATE
SET
There has been a lot of misinformation of late
concerning the NHRA Pro Stock Truck lawsuit
mess circulating on Internet chat rooms and
around race tracks. So, as a public service
Agent 1320 decided to try to get accurate information
about the subject. Publicly available documents
from the Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa
County reveal that after nearly two years of
legal wrangling between the lawyers

from
both sides, the Pro Stock Truck lawsuit brought
against NHRA by former PST competitors has been
given a court date. That's the good news. The
bad news is that the date for the trial has
been set for Jan. 10, 2006!
So, there won't be a resolution of this case
anytime soon. There are 32 plaintiffs still
involved in the lawsuit. In the interest of
full disclosure and the fact that many people
seem to think there are just a few people involved,
the Agent has decided to print the names of
all of the plaintiffs. They are: Pro Stock Truck
Assn., Peter Berner Racing, Inc., Bailey Trucking,
Inc., Richard Brown, Daniel Vanderpool, VJC
Industries, LLC, Ruben Celedon, Eaton Enterprises
LLC, Ficco Racing Corp., Ippolito Motorsports,
Inc., Jim Kennedy Motorsports, Houston Wheels
& Tires, Inc., JELR, Inc., Maldonado Racing,
Buddy Martin Industries, Inc., Lester McGaha,
Jimmie Naiser, Bob Panella Enterprises, Patterson
Racing, Inc., Joe Pigford, Price Racing, Race
Car Technologies, Inc., RLB Contruction, Inc.,
Larry Seay Chev-Buick Olds, Inc., Texas Harley-Davidson,
Inc., The Hot Rod Shop, Tidwell Racing, Tompkins
Motor Sports, RW Performance, Inc., Robert Yonke,
J Scott Enterprises, Inc., and Jim Kennedy.
The Agent has been told by several very reliable
sources that just recently the NHRA and some
of the Pro Stock Truck owners tried to sit down
and settle the matter before going to court.
According to several sources, the Pro Stock
Truck folks demanded the resignation of several
NHRA executives as part of any settlement. Needless
to say, the matter didn't get settled and now
the mess will go to court where everything concerning
this will become a matter of public record.

ON
THE MEND
One veteran missing from the recent Winternationals
was Pomona Drag Strip Manager Stan Adams. Stan
recently had a brief hospital stay, but is back
home and itching to return to work at his Fairplex
office. Adams, a board member of the original
Pomona Valley Timing Association and early Pomona
track announcer, first worked for NHRA in 1960
and has been the track manager for the past
five years.
