A LAWSUIT NOT CONNECTED
TO PST
The Agent hears that Bob Gilbertson's Terminator
Motorsports and Liberman Enterprises LLC of
NJ will be filing a trademark infringement
suit for $2 million against O'Reilly Auto Parts.
O'Reilly has been and continues to sell "Jungle
Jim" tribute car souvenirs in their stores.
The suit claims that neither Gilbertson nor
Liberman Enterprises have yet received any
payments from O'Reilly. [9-23-2004]
FUEL ALTEREDS IN THE FINALS
Due to what NHRA says was the overwhelming
crowd response at the 50th Anniversary race
at Indy, NHRA has invited the four classic
AA/Fuel Altereds to duplicate their exhibition
runs at Pomona during the World Finals. The
AA/FAs will run on Friday and Saturday afternoon
to close the shows. The invited AA/FAs are
Winged Express (above), Nanook, Rat Trap and
Bradford's Fiat. This has to be better than
ramp jumping snowmobiles or laser light shows,
doesn't it? (Jeff Burk

'SNOWMAN' STILL COOL
Gene Snow won TAD at the NHRA Division 4 race
Sept. 19 in Oklahoma putting his A/FD in the
winner's circle. It's nice to see one of the
guys who helped start the sport, still competitive. [9-23-2004]

and sister
Primedia publication, Car Craft. Freiburger
has been instrumental in recently returning
Hot Rod to its drag racing roots.
Kinnan previously worked at ProMedia Publishing
as editor of the NMRA Race Pages magazine and
then as editorial director. With the names
of the publishing companies so close, the Agent
is taking bets on how long it takes Kinnan
not to "mis-speak." [9-23-2004]
