IT'S NOT EASY BEING GREEN
Veteran tuner Roland Leong, longtime friend
of Don "Snake" Prudhomme, will be
taking a lesser position with the Skoal Racing
Green funny car driven by Ron Capps for the
remainder of the 2004 season. Todd Okuhara and
Phil Shuler will be sharing crew chief duties
and "the Hawaiian" will still join
the team's racing efforts from time to time
as a consultant. (Zak

CONNOLLY STAYING PUT
Dave Connolly heads to his favorite track,
Route 66 Raceway, this weekend. The 21-year-old
moved even closer in NHRA POWERade Pro Stock
points to second place Jason Line with his Dallas
win, but with that win the rumors swirling around
Connolly's 2005 driving plans were all over
the map, including going to Schumacher Racing.

This week, Bullet Motorsports owner Michael
Dzurilla stated, "Bullet Motorsports is
staying together and will be returning in 2005
for the chase for the Pro Stock Championship
title with Dave Connolly as our driver."
With the team's second win this season running
Grumpy Jenkins power, it looks like they should
be able to be a serious challenge to Greg Anderson
for the title next year. (Zak
