IHRA CHANGES SOME 2006 RACE DATES;
AGENT CHANGES ANOTHER ONE (OOPS)
The Agent got a couple of numbers screwed up in the IHRA
dates listed on Nov. 16, changing the Norwalk date when
it actually wasn't changed at all. The Agent will blame
the typo on carpal tunnel syndrome for lack of a better
excuse. Our apologies. Here is the correct tentative schedule
of IHRA national events for the 2006 season: San Antonio,
TX (March 24-26); Rockingham, NC (April 21-23); Grand Bend,
Ontario (June 2-4); Edmonton, Alberta (June 23-25); Milan,
Michigan (July 7-9); Cayuga, Ontario (July 21-23); Martin,
Michigan (Aug. 4-6); Norwalk, OH (Aug. 24-27); Epping, NH
(Sept. 8-10); Budds Creek, MD (Sept. 29-Oct. 1) and Rockingham,
NC (Oct. 20-22).

CITRUS NATIONALS OFFERS A DOSE OF
VITAMIN C
If
you need a change from turkey and football, try turkey
and drag racing at the 24th Annual Murray's Mountain Dew
Citrus Nationals on Nov. 26-27 at Moroso Motorsports Park
near Jupiter, Florida. With a full complement of classes
from Top Alcohol Dragsters, Super Comp, Super Gas and
Super Street to Pro Mod, Super Pro, Pro, Pro Bike, and
an Outlaw Quick 16, there will be something for everyone.
Plus, there will be jet-powered vehicles and wheelstanders.
Although the 2004 Pro Mod Champ, Pat Musi, no longer
runs the Pro Mod, he is expected to return to the Citrus
Nationals to compete along with Mike Bell driving the
Roy Hill Blue Max replica.
And, as promised earlier, the Agent has found a recipe
that soaks a turkey in a citrus-flavored marinade overnight
before plunging it into a deep-fat fryer for about 45
minutes, and will be trying it this year. It could be
the best Thanksgiving ever. Of course, everything tastes
better with a little whiff of nitro and burnt rubber.

SCHUMACHER TEAM ADDS CORRADI
AS FC CREW CHIEF
Brian Corradi will be the crew chief on the Matco Tools
Iron Eagle Dodge Stratus Funny Car for the 2006 NHRA POWERade
Drag Racing Series. Corradi, 38, became crew chief for
Don and Dean Skuza in 2003 after joining that operation
in 1996. He was assistant crew chief from 2001 until 2003.
Corradi also worked on Frank Pedregon's Funny Car team
for 10 races this year.
"It will be different," he said of his new position
with Don Schumacher Racing, where he will work in cooperation
with Todd Okuhara. "I'm used to working with a close-knit
family racing team, with the Skuzas. The most people we
had in the crew was six guys. I feel this is a challenge
I need to take."
Corradi will commute between the Brownsburg, Ind., Don
Schumacher Racing shop and his home in Ohio. [11-16-2005]
