a re-worked and re-designed Daytona body similar to what Chip King ran this season. In order to make the car easier to see out of and meet the IHRA mandated 45 inch maximum front end overhang King took the car to aero whiz Johnny Stamper for a little re-bopping. Chip sent us the photos of Mr. Stamper working his magic.

King also told the Agent that he will be getting a new IHRA-legal Daytona and will run his old car on the ADRL circuit where body and powerplant rules are nearly non-existent. [11-28-2005]

VEGAS GOES TO 5-DAY BRACKET NATS IN '06

The four-day Las Vegas Bracket Nationals held over the Thanksgiving Day weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will expand to five days next year.

This year's edition drew 388 cars and paid a total of $124,000 in prize money. Shawn Langdon of Mira Loma, CA, won the overall Super Pro points title. Doug Chamberlain of Utah won Saturday's $65,000 Ultimate Gambler race.
