Here is an Outlaw 10.5 car being
built by Andy McCoy Race Cars for Bill Silva of SilvaBullet
Motorsports. National Mustang Racers Association Drag Radial
star Tim Huspen of Detroit will drive the Mustang in all
2006 Fun Ford events. The powerplant will be a small block
ProCharged engine from Steve Petty making about 1800 hp.

NSCA ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE
The National Street Car Association has announced its 2006
Corteco Drag Racing Series event schedule. The seven events
are April 22-23 (Atco Raceway, Atco, NJ); May 20-21 (Cecil
Co. Raceway, Rising Sun, MD); June 24-25 (Edgewater Raceway
Park, Cleves, OH); July 22-23 (US 41 Dragway, Morocco, IN);
Aug. 12-13 (Thompson Raceway Park, Thompson, OH); Sept.
9-10 (US 131 Motorsports Park, Martin, MI); and Sept. 30-Oct.
1 (National Trail Raceway, Hebron, OH).

THAT'S BETTER
Florida Funny Car body builder Dale Smith called the Agent
for a little refinement to yesterday’s photo and note
on his vintage
Plymouth
Satellite. Smith noted that this particular flopper is his
first step toward a tribute to Jim Murphy’s “Holy
Smokes” Funny Car.
He wanted to clarify that actually the "itchy bitch"
reference is more tongue in cheek while it undergoes trimming
of the edges and parting lines. He said, "It makes
for an itchy experience” when working on the fiberglass.
Smith was quick to point out that he could not be making
any of these cool bodies without the help of DRO photogs
Steve Gruenwald and the recently married Adam Cranmer.
The next scheduled project going into the mold is the Jungle
Jim Liberman Monza project for Bob Gilbertson. [12-21-2005]
