CAPPS BACK IN “PRO-STALGIA”
FUEL COUPE
The
Agent hears that Jeff Gaynor's Nostalgia Fuel Flopper
team will likely run an extensive match race schedule
next year. The team has a new chassis and is fitting a
Dodge Challenger body sporting a Kenny Youngblood-designed
metalflake red, white and blue paint scheme reminiscent
of Diamond Jim Annin's flopper, circa 1970.
It also looks like longtime Capps' buddy Roland Leong
will be joining the team for the March Meet, Sonoma Nitro
Nationals and the Fuel and Gas Finals at Famoso Raceway
as a guest tuner. Owner Gaynor commented, "This deal
is a dream, who wouldn't want to field a funny car team
with Capps and a legend like Roland Leong on it?"
