SALUTE!
Doug Herbert will host seven Marines at the Winternationals.
All of them are active duty Marines, home from overseas
combat deployment. Herbert's Pomona guests will arrive
Saturday morning.
"All of the Marines that will be joining us this
year have served combat missions," Herbert said. "They
are out there fighting for us and this is our way to let
them know we support them and we're real glad they made
a safe return home. I want everyone at the races to stop
by the Snap-on pit on Saturday and tell these guys how
much we appreciate what they do for all of us in this country."
A big tip of the Agent's fedora to Doug Herbert and Snap-on
for their actions.

OUTLAW OUTBREAK
Add Tulsa International Raceway to the ever-growing ranks
of drag strips that will be going "outlaw" in
2005. No, they aren't dropping their IHRA affiliation,
but they will be featuring outlaw door slammer action on
ten different race dates. Working in cooperation with the
Midwest Outlaws of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Tulsa will host
the Outlaws entire 2005 schedule, with action in Outlaw
Pro Mod and Outlaw 10.5 eliminators. The 2005 season is
number forty for the venerable Oklahoma speed plant, which
has flown the banner of NHRA, AHRA, IHRA and of course
PRO. The track has undergone extensive renovation the last
two years, and will be more than capable of hosting an
expanded slate of feature races. [2-11-2005]
ERICA
WHO?
Due to a mislabeled photo and an editor who evidently
had a brain burp and couldn't tell the difference between
a Pro Stock car and a dragster (duh), we briefly had a
photo of the wrong Erica in our Erica Enders profile.
This is actually Erica Credeur, a 34-year-old wife, mother
and new Top Fuel racer from Louisiana. Now we all know.
Our apologies to both Ericas. (Tim
