TUTTEROW DOES QUADRUPLE
DUTY
Todd Tutterow will campaign four race cars with three different
types of powerplants this year: blown, nitrous-aided and
turbo.
The Tommy Mauney-built '41 Willys
has been outfitted with a twin turbocharged Duttweiler big
block Chevy. This car will be at the AMS/TLR events and
selected outlaw Pro Mod races.
Not to be confused with the Mustang
Tutterow won the 2004 Big Dog Shootout with (which won't
change for this season), this '02 Jerry Haas Mustang has
been outfitted with the same 706 Fulton engine that ran
in Tutterow's Willys last year. Look for this car at Quick
8 and Big Dog races and perhaps a few ADRL events.
Tutterow's fourth car is a 1990 Mustang with a twin turbo
BBC which is being built at Fat Boyz Fabrication and should
be ready for Outlaw 10.5 competition in mid June. With four
cars and several circuits, Tutterow will be a busy man.

HUNTSVILLE OUTLAW TOP FUEL RACE -- FOR
THE RECORD!
The
original plan was for George Howard and Drag Racing Online
to put on an eighth mile outlaw Top Fuel race but, as is
the way of things, those plans have changed just a little.
NHRA's Vice President of Racing Operations, Graham Light,
has given his permission for the official national record
to be set at the race for NHRA-legal Top Fuel cars.
The newest entry for the race has come from Tim Gibson
who will be wheeling a Top Fuel car at the race. Also, contrary
to what has appeared in various chat rooms, no ticket prices
have yet been announced but beginning early next week advance
tickets will be going on sale and will be able to be purchased
online through Drag Racing Online's store. Get your credit
cards ready. [3-31-2005]
