MILITARY PERSONNEL ON ACTIVE DUTY
GET A FREE PASS
Both
Huntsville track owner George Howard and DRO editor Jeff
Burk are military veterans. Knowing from their own experience
that most GI's just don't have much extra money, they've
decided to give any active duty member of the military coming
to the Rocket City Nationals July 1-3 at Huntsville Dragway
FREE ADMISSION into the race by showing their current ID
card.
Please
note that the date has changed from that previously announced
and the name of the event has changed to reflect Huntsville,
Alabama's connection with NASA and the U.S. space program.
With NHRA World Champ Tony "The Sarge" Schumacher
in Don Schumacher's U.S. Army-backed Top Fueler headlining
the $101,000-to-win eighth-mile race along with defending
IHRA World Champ Clay Millican's Werner Enterprises Top
Fuel dragster, the soldiers from the Army's nearby Redstone
Arsenal should have a really cool Fourth of July celebration.

THE
CROWNING TOUCH
Since JEG'S Mail Order is sponsoring both NHRA SPORTSNationals
events, JEG'S decided to do something different and create
some additional excitement for the competitors. Any driver
who wins in the Pro Mod, Competition Eliminator, Super Stock,
Super Comp, Super Gas, Stock and Super Street classes at
the JEGS.com Cajun SPORTSNational is eligible. Each of the
winners from the JEGS.com Cajun SPORTSNationals (April 22-24
at Belle Rose, LA) must also win the JEGS Northern SPORTSNationals
(July 28-31 at Columbus, OH) to be awarded the JEG'S Crown.

"The JEG'S Crown trophy will turn a lot of heads when
it's unveiled this weekend on the NHRA2Day set," explained
Scott "Woody" Woodruff, JEG'S Director of Media
& Motorsports. "We are really excited to have some
fun with this program and promote the competitors that have
a shot at taking home the additional hardware at the JEG'S
Northern SPORTSNationals."
