Pro Modified aces Al Billes and Mike Janis are scheduled
to compete in the inaugural Pro Modified Racing Association
(PMRA) race for 2005 at Toronto Motorsports Park May 20-22.
The duo head up a confirmed entry list of 15 PMRA teams
ready to do battle in this first of five-race series.
Billes, of Barrie, ON, just picked up his first IHRA major
win of 2005 at Rockingham in his Summit Racing-sponsored
1953 Corvette. He is presently fourth in the IHRA standings.
As the IHRA Pro Modified champ for 2004, Janis, of Lancaster,
NY, will be debuting locally his new 2004 Dodge Stratus
at TMP. (Jeff Burk photos) [5-17-2005]
SAFETY DEVICE NAME CHANGED
A few days ago we announced that Safety Solutions had
passed SFI spec 38.1 testing on their Hutchens-3 Device.
Now we are informed that they have changed the name of
their product to Hutch-II. It's the same product, just
a different name. [5-17-2005]
