RAFFLING FOR MONTANA DRAGSTRIP
There's a fund drive started by the Phillips County Motor
Sports Association in order to open a drag strip on the
old airport runway south of Malta in North Central Montana.
The PCMSA has signed an agreement with the Phillco Economic
Development Council, owner of the airport property and
they're hoping to raise $100,000 to $150,000 in order to
open the dragstrip sometime next year.
Tickets are available for a raffle, the group's first
fundraiser. For more info call Association President Greg
Kirkwood at (406) 654-2430. [5-25-2005]
GILBY SAYS 'PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE'
Bob Gilbertson knows his team will have to pick up their
performance if they want to stay in the NHRA POWERade Top
Ten. After last Sunday's first round loss to Tim Wilkerson
at Columbus where Gilbertson trailed at the finish line

another close one
to Ron Capps by .0376 seconds the week before, the team
is working hard to find out the problem.
"I had one of the worst reaction times of my career
and I just don't know why it happened," Gilbertson
said. "My guys are going over every inch of the car
to see if they can find something out of place that might
cause the car not to react the way it should. I'm also
spending every spare minute practicing my reaction time
on my practice tree."
The Agent will be following the action at Topeka this
weekend. Let's see, pre-stage, stage, GO! (Tim
