JAMES MILLER, COME ON DOWN!
No one was really surprised to hear that James "Bobby"
Miller, father of ORSCA Outlaw 10.5 star Craig Miller, used
some good ol' Southern charm to talk his way into being
chosen as a contestant on The Price is Right game show.

Miller said he deliberately played up his "colorful"
Savannah, GA-bred personality when interviewed by the TV
show's pre-screeners, so he really wasn't surprised to hear
his name called, followed by the famous "Come on down"
invitation. Miller made his way to the stage by correctly
guessing the price of a set of drums, then advanced to win
a dial phone, coin counter, radio/alarm clock, and a 2005
Pontiac Vibe. "Oh, and I won a nice mop for my wife,"
he added. The episode featuring Miller will air Sept. 23,
on CBS and you just know the Agent will be watching.

Take a good look at Carolina Dragway's old tower (right)
because after Bob Motz and his jet-powered Kenworth get
through with it Sept. 17, it will be reduced to a smoldering
pile of rubble. Track owners Jeff and Angel Miles arranged
for special dispensation from IHRA to let Motz light up
the tower as part of their 3rd annual Night of Fire celebrations.
