FISH' LEADS HEMI CHALLENGE QUALIFYING
After three rounds of qualifying, Charlie
Westcott Jr. (near lane above with Bucky Hess) is at the
top of the list for the Mopar Super Stock Hemi Challenge
later today. The '68 "War Fish" Barracuda ran
an 8.691. Jeg Coughlin is second at 8.750, followed by
Bucky Hess (8.797), Fred Henson (8.799), Joey Wilkes (8.810),
Jim Pancake (8.814), Steve Wann (8.828) and Rick Houser

were driving Darts, while the rest were in Barracudas.

TUCSON LABOR DAY
RACE POSTPONED

The
annual Labor Day Classic at Tucson's Southwestern International
Raceway has been postponed due to storm damage. A record
Arizona rainstorm hit last week causing severe water damage
to the shutdown area of the track and compromising racers
safety.
In addition to the Labor Day Classic, all
racing events at Southwestern International Raceway have
been postponed until further notice. Racers can visit
the website at www.sirace.com for rescheduling and information.
