THEY MUST KNOW SOMETHING. .
.
The
Agent was musing about this close-up view of the StriVectin
"billboard," wondering how many women would
buy this product advertised on David Grubnic's Top Fuel
dragster. Then, the Agent got to thinking about the number
of over-50 male drivers, tuners, manufacturers and others
that are at the dragstrip every week. . .and realized
that perhaps the marketers had a receptive audience after
all. It's certainly cheaper than a facelift and you don't
have to worry about starting to look Japanese around the
eyes. In fact, the Agent might suggest this product to
DRO editor Jeff Burk, whose eyes sometimes seem to disappear.
(Although, as you can tell by his new Burk's Blast photo,
he still seems able to see clearly.) (Jon

CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES ON SC
DRAGWAY
According to this photo shot
last fall, construction is well under way for Broad River
Dragway, a new IHRA-sanctioned 1/8-mile strip near Union,
SC. Details are elusive right now, but the track's Web
site http://www.broadriverdragway.com promises a 2006
racing schedule will soon be released. With recurring
news of long-time facilities succumbing to encroaching
development, the Agent is encouraged to see some people
are still willing to invest in new drag racing infrastructure.
