ASHLEY WILLYS PREVIEW
Here is a rendering of Mike Ashley's '41 Willys Pro Mod. The design
is by Greg Ozubko. Ashley plans to have the supercharged entry ready
by March.
NO PRO MODS AT SONOMA
DRO has had calls from several Pro Modified racers asking if the
rumor that NHRA was going to add Pro Modified to the schedule at Sonoma,
CA. race was true. The rumor got started due to a glitch on the NHRA
web site where they inadvertently listed Pro Mods at Sonoma. DRO called
NHRA's Graham Light and was assured that it was just a mistake and that
Sonoma had not been added to the 2002 NHRA Pro Mod exhibition race schedule.
Repeat - Pro Mods will not race at Sonoma.
KENNY BERNSTEIN ANNOUNCES 2002 PLANS
At a tearful media event during the recent NHRA Finals, Top Fuel Legend
Kenny Bernstein announced his farewell tour entitled "Forever Red...
A Run to Remember". Bernstein will race in his 23rd and final season
behind the wheel of the Bud King dragster sporting a special commemorative
paint scheme.
