GREBECK'S NEW PRO 5.0
DRO was sent the photos of the Halprin Family's new Pro. 5.0 turbocharged
Mustang being built by Steve Grebeck. This bad boy will not only run
the Pro 5.0 circuit but will be seen at least once as an IHRA Top Sportsman.
'SUPERBIKE 10K PAYDAY' SCHEDULED FOR NRP
Norwalk Raceway Park will co-host a new event that will pay the largest
purse in independent motorcycle drag racing history with $10,000 going
to the winner and a guaranteed purse of $23,400. The "Superbike 10K
Payday" will be held on September 30, 2001 and will be co-sponsored
by stripbike.com and Fast By Gast. Qualifying for the event will be
"Run What Ya Brung" with virtually any motorcycle that passes safety
inspection eligible. Scaled prize money will be paid to all contestants
who qualify for the 64-bike elimination field, depending on finishing
position.
FRONT ENGINE DRAGSTER ASSOCIATION FORMING
If you have a front engined dragster and are interested in getting organized,
the Oregon Front Engine Dragster Association may be for you. They plan
to race heads-up according to NHRA and Goodguys rules and will accept
blown cars, but would prefer injected alcohol/nitro cars. If you're

MAC TOOLS TO SPONSOR NHRA'S BRISTOL EVENT
Mac Tools has signed a multi-year agreement with Bristol Dragway and
NHRA to become the primary sponsor of the first NHRA national event
to be held at Thunder Valley in more than 30 years.
The Mac Tools Thunder Valley Nationals will be held April 27-29. Mac
Tools is also the primary sponsor for the Gatornationals held March
15-18 at Gainesville, Fla. and provides associate sponsorship for several
NHRA competitors including John Force, Kenny Bernstein, and Jerry Toliver.
