FREY'S ANATOMY TOO WELL KNOWN
In DRO's "Back Door" photo we ran a photo of Bob Frey and the WWF's triple H in a pose down and asked for the readers to identify the owner of the pathetic arm. Way too many of you answered instantly that it was Bob's arm. DRO can only wonder why so many of you have intimate knowledge of the Freyster's body parts. Anyway, the first to get the right answer was F. Robert Doerrer -- Berserko to his friends. Berserko was known for streaking in the sixties. You don't suppose that Berserko and Fry have.… Nah, we don't even want to think about that. At any rate we are going to put up another photo of Fry and HHH and make it a caption contest. Doerrer, you are barred from competing or at least winning.

VOTE FOR CAR CRAFT ALL-STAR TEAM IN DRO
Just one of the many benefits of reading Drag Racing Online -- besides the vast amount of information that you can find nowhere else -- is the ability to vote for this year’s All-Star Drag Racing Team. Find the ballot ad in Agent 1320 pages and other places around the magazine and cast your vote for your favorite racers. The Agent says to vote early and vote often. One good thing about the internet is … no question of hanging chads. (You remember last November?).

DRAGGIN’ ’DOZERS AT CENTRAL TEXAS RACEWAY PARK
The official groundbreaking ceremony for the initial construction phase at Central Texas Raceway Park, a $2.5-million quarter-mile drag strip, will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at 12:30 p.m., according to CTRP, Inc. president Bill Davidson.

Open to the public, the activities will feature a "drag race" on bulldozers between veteran International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Pro Modified driver Matt "Cowboy" Tolbert and radio personality Bama Brown of station KASE 101. Tolbert will also have his Pro Mod 1970 Plymouth Superbird, "Texas Big Bird," on display.

The 491-acre property is located east of the city of Taylor on the south side of highway 79 in Milam County about halfway between Thorndale and Rockdale. The project is expected to provide an economic boost to the area of approximately $41 million in the first year, with an annual economic impact of over $35 million once construction of the drag strip is finished.

Maybe if the ‘dozers draw a crowd, they will be a weekly event … along with the dump truck drags the Agent heard about in Missouri. Talk about expanding your fan base.
