ALTERED DRAG RACING FROM SWEDEN
Agent 1320's European operative sent us this photo of Pär Eriksson's four banger powered altered. The T-Bucket ran a stout 8.084 powered by a turbocharged, intercooled four holer backed by a Liberty five speed. Yikes! Shades of Buddy Ingersoll's Pinto. The altered competes in the NPSC Super Hitech class.

THAT’S RIGHT, HE’S FAST
Mike Dunn stole the show Friday at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals setting the national speed record at 330.55 mph and an elapsed time of 4.559 seconds. Dunn's Top Fuel dragster ran over 330 mph for the third time this season and is the third fastest run this season. Although Dunn has run faster than 330.55 mph this season, he was able to back up the run within the required one percent with a second round pass at 329.02.

"We've been chasing the speed record for a while and tonight everything just came together," Dunn said. "We know that this Yankees dragster has a ton of horsepower that will run a big speed. If you can run fast without jeopardizing elapsed-time, you have it figured out. I think tonight we put our stamp of approval that we are the new speed kings of the sport." (Jeff Burk photo)
