TA-DA! PROJECT 4-LINK DEBUTS ON TRACK
For all of you who have been following along as we put together our
Project 4-Link dragster, here she is. DRO Bracket Editor, Jok Nicholson,
was behind the wheel at IHRA ‘s Amalie Oil Summer Nationals at Cordova
(Ill.) Dragway Park. We’d like to say that Nicholson kicked butt in
the Bracket ET class, but truth be told (and we must because we’re professional
journalists), he red-lighted himself out of the first round. (Hey it’s
not easy going from a doorslammer to a dragster!) The car had five full
passes down track and it got faster with each run, reaching a best (so
far) of 8.37 at 156 mph. A little more seat time for the Jokster in
front of the practice tree and you Midwestern racers better look out
– ’cause he’s got his “Attitude Adjusted.” (Jeff Burk photo)
HAVOC DRAGSTER RUNNERS-UP AT CORDOVA
Another dragster sporting the www.dragracingonline.com name fared a
bit better at the Cordova race -- the yellow Top Fueler of Havoc Motor
Sports was runner up. Jim Bailey, in his first year driving for the
Bobby Rex, Marvin Foxworth team ran 4.988/273.27 to Clay Millican’s
4.709/316.75 to finish number two. The team won the preceding IHRA event
at Grand Bend, Canada. (Jeff Burk photo)
