KUWAITI UP-DATE-Y

DRO's correspondent in Kuwait, Ray Romero, sent us some photos of the updated track. The car is Mark Perry's Datsun Z with a 373 SBC getting ready for a burnout. All of the cars are doorslammers, both nitrous-aided and blown, and must have license plates even to race. Their season starts in October, so stay tuned. And, boys, keep that middle eastern oil a flowin'!

PRO MODS MAY BE PRO CLASS FOR 2002

The Agent hears that NHRA is still attempting to find a sponsor for the Pro Modifieds for the 2002 season. If they were to sign the sponsor -- and the Agent hears from good sources that at least two major companies currently involved in NHRA has expressed some interest in sponsoring the cars -- don't be surprised if Pro Modified becomes a real Pro Class for 2002.
