The event attracted a record crowd of cars and people despite being
held three days after the events in New York and Washington. Said Goodguys
President Gary Meadors, "We had a partial staff that made it to Albany,
New York on Monday following our event in Colorado, and we had the remaining
staff on planes on Tuesday that never made it off the ground, so we
sat down and thought it through. We figured everyone was stuck for a
few days and since we had staff in place in Rhinebeck, we decided to
proceed with the event and it turned out to be a blessing. People were
apprehensive at first, but they all rallied and carried on with their
plans to attend the event and in turn got their minds off what was happening
and showed a lot of pride and courage."
