SMITH GETS CORPORATE SPONSOR FOR PRO MOD

"Trickie" Rickie Smith is one of the first NHRA Pro Mod racers
to get a major sponsor. With the help of his marketing guru, Kenny Nowling,
the five-time IHRA Pro Stock World Champ will be carrying the Lucas
Oil livery for the rest of the 2002 season at both NHRA and IHRA events.
Smith competed at the IHRA Pro Mod race in Maryland last weekend instead
of working the NHRA race at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet because, the
Agent has learned, Mr. Smith and the Mopar camp have parted company.
Good news for the NHRA Pro Stock racers, bad news for IHRA Pro Mod.

HERBERT WILL DONATE 'DOUGZILLA' PROCEEDS TO BILLY
WILLIAMS
Berserko Bob Doerrer is a good friend of Doug Herbert's and after the
Maple
Grove burndown incident, jokingly called him "Dougzilla" because
he reminded him of Godzilla as he got out of his car to confront his
opponent.

"After talking to Berserko Bob I decided that I will go ahead
and make
'Dougzilla' t-shirts," Herbert said. "They will be available
through my shop and
my trackside trailer. All proceeds will go to the Billy Williams recovery
fund.
As many of you may know Billy is still in a coma. He has been back in
Cleveland
for over two months at St. Augustine Manor, 7801 Detroit Ave., Cleveland,
OH
44102. Bills keep stacking up and NO insurance company has paid anything.
If you don't want to buy a t-shirt, just send a donation to the Benefit
for Billy Williams Recovery Fund, Bank 1, 17426 Lorain Rd. Cleveland,
OH 44111."
Billy's medical bills are currently over $600,000 and his care costs
about
$25,000 a month. To order a t-shirt call 1-800-444-7373. [10-2-2002]
