TOLIVER, ALAN JOHNSON PARTNERS?
Over the weekend Agent 1320 heard a little more on the possible return of Jerry Toliver to Fuel Flops. The latest info is that Toliver will buy half of Alan Johnson's Toyota-bodied team and that he would come back in the TRD-developed body and that Alan would tune the car from a distance.
Talk about team orders, what would happen should Toliver or Jim Head, both
of whom reportedly get tuning help from Johnson,
meet up against a Schumacher team car? Could
be very interesting. Wonder if either one of
those guys could end up parking next to a team
Schumacher car. [10-21-2003]
ODDY/HAHN QUICKEST IN BOTH LEAGUES NOW
Fred Hahn drove Jim Oddy's Summit Racing Equipment-backed
Pro Mod to a 6.111 at Rockingham Dragway over
the weekend at the last IHRA event of the season.
The Agent couldn't get all of the numbers but
he did find out that Oddy's Vette went 3.98
at 180 and change to the eighth. Oddy and Hahn
now own the quickest passes in Pro Mod on both
the NHRA and IHRA circuits. (DRO

PEACO JOINS IHRA MANAGEMENT?
Agent 1320 hears that Skooter Peaco, who formerly
worked at Summit Racing Equipment in their racing
program and also competes on the IHRA circuit
with his own 10.90 pickup,

is
rumored to have signed on as the event director
for that sanctioning body for the 2004 season.
Peaco's experience dealing with racers in his
capacity at Summit, his own experience as a
racer, and his long association with Bill Bader
and the IHRA makes him the logical choice for
the job. Peaco spent last week hanging at Rockingham
Dragway with an IHRA uniform on during the World
Finals, which makes the Agent think this rumor
is probably true. If true, it would be a great
acquisition for the sanctioning body.
