O'REILLY TO SPONSOR 5TH NHRA NATIONAL EVENT

O'Reilly Auto Parts has added the Bristol, Tenn. event to their 2004 schedule, becoming the dominating title sponsor for NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events. The O'Reilly Thunder Valley NHRA Nationals will be held April 30-May 2. O'Reilly also sponsors the Spring Nationals (Houston); the Summer Nationals (Topeka); the Mid-South Nationals (Memphis); and the Fall Nationals (Dallas). In addition, they are the title sponsor for the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League. [11-06-2003]

BADER WINS AWARD

IHRA president Bill Bader has received a "Pillar of Strength" award from Disabled Youth Awareness, a non-profit organization comprised of physically challenged racers.

"Our racers and members show physically challenged and disabled youth they can achieve the goals and things they want from life," said Bob Pagano, DYA Chief Executive Officer.
