BAD AND BLACK BIRD
Pat Coyle from Rancho Cucamonga, CA who has
been building his project called "Blackbird"
for quite some time. DRO Nostalgia Editor Tim
Marshall saw Coyle's T-Bird at an NHRA museum
cruise and his interest was immediately peaked.

member for both Rich Guasco's "Pure Hell" fuel
Altered and Larry Huffs' "Soapy Sales" 'Vette.
When he told nitro junkie Marshall, "Tim, I'm
going to run this Bird on about 65% to 85% nitro.
It's got a Rich Guasco-built 392, and I know
its safe," Marshall immediately handed him a
business card and said, "Make sure you call
me and let me know when you're going to make
laps. I want to be there with my camera."
Agent 1320 doesn't know what class this 'Bird
would fit into but he would love to be there
beside Marshall when this nitro-burning streeters
makes its first laps. (Tim
