A REAL FUEL COUPE?
Two-time
NHRA national event winner John Spar and Ed
Heystee, CEO/C.A.R.E Inc., have formed a new
Nostalgia racing team. The new venture for Spar
and Heystee is scheduled to make its debut at
the 2004 Goodguys March Meet at Bakersfield,
CA. The trick CARE/B&M candy red 1923 "T" roadster
was assembled by Dave Tuttle of California Chassis.
The car will wear the famous nostalgic B&M Hydro
Stick logo to commemorate B&M's 50th anniversary.
It will have an experimental crate based GM
Performance Parts blown 502 cu in big-block
power plant.
Apparently the roadster is going to burn alky
but the Agent would surely pay to see this car
make a pass with a load in the fuel tank. (Tim

AS THE FORCE SQUIRMS...UPDATE
A lot of rumors have been going around the
John Force soap opera concerning who will and
won't be driving the Force Mustangs in 2004.
The Agent has kind of stayed mum but he now
has a little info to share. Excellent sources
confirm that Himself will return in the Castrol/Ford
Mustang and that Gary Densham will return in
a Mustang backed by AAA. The

driver
of the third car has yet to be determined but
one of the Agent's sources says that while it
is about 50/50 that John Medlen's son will drive
the third car, Force is still agonizing over
his choice and at least a half-dozen drivers
besides Medlen are still in the running.
Team Force is also in the running for an AT&T
sponsorship and that situation has also caused
major drama for Force. Seems like AT&T has decided
that they will only sponsor a dragster. If Team
Force were to secure the AT&T sponsorship then
Gary Densham's crew chief, Jimmy Prock, would
tune the dragster, which only makes good sense.
Except that Densham has made it known to his
boss that if Prock isn't tuning his car he might
choose to take a pass on driving at all. After
all that Force has done for Densham that attitude
seems a little ungrateful. The Agent will bet
that there are times that Force wishes he was
back to just a one car team. [12-18-2003]
