CHEVROLET'S 2005 PRO STOCKER!?
Between
Christmas and the New Years celebrations the
Agent winged his way tothe Left Coast for a
preview of new vehicles unveiled at the LA Auto
Show, first auto show of the new year. Sandwiched
between the Champaign sippingand jumbo shrimp
platters, the agent spoke with Detroit big-wigs
about theirplans for the future. Chevrolet will
introduce 10 new products in the next20 months
among them is the 2005 Cobalt.
According to one GM suit, this new coupe will
replace the Cavalier body style for the 2005
NHRA Pro Stock wars. When the Cobalt hits your
dealer's floor in the Fall of 2004 you'll be
able to from three ECOTEC engines of 2.2L, 2.4L
or a 2.0L supercharged unit. The Cobalt also
features a new aerodynamic design with a sleeker
windshield arrangement that should help give
Chevy an aerodynamic edge on the back half of
the track.
While
wandering over to the Ford and grabbing another
glass of the bubbly the Agent got a glimpse
of the new 2005 Ford GT.This little beauty isn't
designed for the drag strip, but will be available
in late 2004. The Agent isn't expecting he'll
find one under the tree next winter because
it's carrying a suggested price tag of $139,995.
Well maybe he can borrow one for a test drive
in the New year. [1/2/2004]
