PRO MOD PLANS
After just one year on the NMCA Pro Outlaw trail, Belleville, NJ's Eddie
Cassatt plans to make the full-time switch to IHRA Pro Mod competition in
2004. The bright red '57 was built to Pro Mod specs by LJ Chassis, so all it
needs is a new manual clutch and exhaust system to become IHRA legal.
Veteran blower guru Daren Mayer will handle
the car's transformation over the winter and
will provide tuning advice for the 526 c.i.
Thundercraft engine at the track next season.

"We're
not going to Pro Mod to say we're going to be
bad right away; we're just looking to qualify,"
Cassatt said. "If we could qualify three times
next year, I'd consider that a home run."
NMCA GETS TITLE SPONSOR
