ROY HILL RETIRED?
We also got word that Roy Hill has sold his
entire Pro Mod operation to a Texas interest,
perhaps the one whose name appears on the quarter-panel.
The Agent's sources also indicate that the car
will be campaigned this year with Von Smith
behind the wheel and Howard Moon doing the tuning.

RAY PRICE ANNOUNCES NEW RIDER
Ray Price Racing will be back on track this
weekend at the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts
Nationals presented by The Carolina Harley-Davidson
Dealers Association at Rockingham Dragway. While
Ray Price continues to recover from a crash
earlier in the year, Wayne Pollack of Garner,
NC gets the nod for the ride of a lifetime.
Last week the new rider tested at Rockingham,
Pollack's first time in the 850 horsepower saddle.
He is an experienced motorcycle racer, however,
most recently setting a new Land Speed record
of 242.5 mph at Maxton, NC. Pollack said, "The
new land speed record was great, but it was
like riding a bicycle after riding the Ray Price
fueler."
And how would Pollack explain his first pass
at the Rock? "Intense," he said, "It was like
sitting on a bicycle and someone rear-ends you
with a truck, hitting you at 70 and keeps going."
