RAY PRICE ANNOUNCES NEW RIDER

Ray Price Racing will be back on track this weekend at the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Nationals presented by The Carolina Harley-Davidson Dealers Association at Rockingham Dragway. While Ray Price continues to recover from a crash earlier in the year, Wayne Pollack of Garner, NC gets the nod for the ride of a lifetime.

Last week the new rider tested at Rockingham, Pollack's first time in the 850 horsepower saddle. He is an experienced motorcycle racer, however, most recently setting a new Land Speed record of 242.5 mph at Maxton, NC. Pollack said, "The new land speed record was great, but it was like riding a bicycle after riding the Ray Price fueler."

And how would Pollack explain his first pass at the Rock? "Intense," he said, "It was like sitting on a bicycle and someone rear-ends you with a truck, hitting you at 70 and keeps going." [10-2-2003]
