and whoever did it obviously
intends to do the same to you.

CAPPS

BURK
We’re not sure.

CAPPS

Right now do nothing. Just continue on as if you had never received the note and don’t mention this to anyone. We’re going to make a few stops, ask a few questions. We’ll get to the bottom of this. Don’t worry, you’ll be safe, but we may need to use you as bait to trap the killer.

Burk’s cell phone rings.

Burk scribbles on his pad.

Burk shuts the phone and turns to Martin.

BURK

MARTIN

MARTIN

in the desert.
