The ultimate multi-class competition falls
to this man, Brett Stevens, on one of his many
trips down the return road (Australian tracks
should consider having a Stevens only passing
lane so he can meet all his commitments).
Brett has been campaigning in the Top Bike
bracket for numerous seasons, runner-upped in
the championship last year, and positioned himself
at the head of the early points chase for this
year winning the event and running the quickest
Australian Harley pass yet (6.734/208.01 mph)
on the way to the event win over his Jack Daniels
teammate Troy McLean.
Not content with being close to the head of
the pack on two wheels, Brett also runs this
self built Stude Top Doorslammer with which
he won the points chase last year, and looks
to be right in the mix for 2004/5 having made
the final round of eliminations in the quickest
Doorslammer field in history at the East Coast
Nats.
And this guy hates any period of inactivity
as, new for 2004/5 is this gorgeous Alky Mustang
which Brett qualified on the bump on debut with
a last session effort. Stevens operation oversees
a total of three fuel Harleys, four Doorslammers
and an Alky Funny Car, with Brett himself providing
most of the tune-up as well as now taking orders
for bikes and doorslammers from his chassis
shop.
