In a close final, No. 2 qualifier Ed Thornton's 6.620 at 210.93 mph defeated Hairston's 6.737 at 212.63 -- the quickest and fastest final in PSCA Pro Street history.


Robert "V" in his flamed Mustang took the win in the Mickey Thompson Tires Wild Street class running 8.810 at 157.48 over a slowing Shannon Cachare's 21.893.


In the competitive Edelbrock Hot Street Class, George Mitchell's red Nova ran 8.955 at 151.97, winning in a close final over Craig Gustafson's '56 Chevy who ran 8.987.

The JE Pistons Real Street final found Bert Heck running 8.285 at 173.96 while defeating No. 1 qualifier Rich Hoyle's clean Nova 8.345 at 162.20 mph.

On October 22-24 the PSCA Heads-up classes meet again at California Dragway for the 4th annual Edelbrock Fall Nationals. The 6th annual Mickey Thompson Tires World Finals and East-vs-West Shootout will close out the season back in Las Vegas November 18-21.
