he giant Primedia Empire decided to treat their readers and fans of the Pump Gas drags to free admission to the time trials, a larger than expected crowd showed up and they were stoked!

Viper Strikes Chad Williams was heating up the radials before his 8.629/166 lap. Check out the Mopar V-12 with dual turbochargers and EFI. This is a very expensive and cool car.

ENGINE COMBONATIONS

Kevin Thompson Chevelle had a Donovan Big Block under the flat hood. He used a single four-barrel throttle body fuel injection system with nitrous oxide injection. Note the accu-sump tank to prevent oil pressure loss on the launch.	Joe Catucci had the only supercharged Olds on the premises. His ’67 Olds wasn’t the quickest but it did make every lap.

Brian Hinson had the twin-turboed LS-7 shoehorned into his ’03 Mazda. He had problems at the track, made only one lap and unfortunately on that lap got out of control and got into both guard walls. The Mazda was dinged up pretty bad.
