Raymond
Owens’s ’85
Monte left the wheels way up. Nice paint Ray.
Robin Roberts’ 76 TA looked really
streetable but this view is the only one anyone that
chooses him off on the street is likely to see. Robin
averaged 8.955 for three laps and ran a best of 8.795/161.11
which was good for second place in the competition.
Mike Thompson’s slick S-10 was the
quickest of the pick-ups. He used a healthy dose of
nitrous in the motor and ran a best of 9.289 and averaged
9.31 to finish 10th.
Steve Hoch and his nitrousized ’68 ‘Vette
were the winners of the Pump Gas
Drags last year. This
year he ran a quick as 9.1919/148.89 but he just wasn’t
quick
enough to win this year.
