Steve Nichols, of Newark, DE, made the
long tow to SED twice, showing up for the original show
as well as the rain date. He was rewarded for the effort
with a 4.601 secs pass at 151.02 mph in his Mill Road Boys
1970 Camaro flopper, powered by an Ernie McClain-built 427
Chevy with 90 percent nitro flowing through it.
Lancaster, KY’s Andy Applegate
hand built this 1948 Fiat Topolino with a blown alcohol
396 in 2001 for Good Guys 7.60 index action. He went 5.30
at 127.55 mph over the eighth mile at Southeastern.
