This very cool-looking ’70 Mustang of Greenville, TN’s Chuck Miner was originally put together by ProMax in Clinton, TN, and sports a Performance Automotive-built “Boss 672” under the hood. Miner and his father have been racing the bowtie beater for about a year now and are actively seeking sponsorship to advance their efforts.

The deep-black ’57 Chevy of Lee Adkins Jr. is sponsored by Class Auto Carriers and features ghostly blue flames on its front fenders and hood. Adkins drove it to a fourth-place start at Montgomery, but handling trouble in the first round of eliminations ended his day early.

Michael Reece, a utilities contractor from Perry, GA, made it to the semis at Montgomery, but a redlight start cost him the trip to the final. Reece has been racing this ’37 Chev for the last two years, but expects to accept delivery of a new Tommy Mauney-built ’53 Corvette late this year. He’ll also make the switch to supercharged power, as a new Brad Anderson Stage 6 526 cubic incher is slated to fill the new car’s engine bay, as Reece said he plans to step up to ADRL Extreme Pro Mod competition in 2007.
