Number one qualifier Gene Hindman (far lane) met up with number-two qualifier and 2001 champ John McGowan in the Tremec Pure Street final. McGowan had a .053 advantage on the start, but Hindman drove around him to post a 10.918/122.78 win over McGowan's 11.051/123.10 combination.

With a giant #1 proclaiming his status in Edelbrock Hot Street competition, Billy "The Dome" Laskowsky backed up his Bradenton win with a victory at Silver Dollar. Laskowsky's 9.402/144.00 mph combo was just enough to beat the 9.454 at 143.63-mph effort by Brian Booze.

Number-two qualifier Jamie McKenzie won the Toyo Tires Open Comp final with a 10.338-secs pass at 131.34 mph, with seventh-place qualifier Charles Webb Jr. finishing as runner-up.

Bob Kurgan also made it all the way to the ProCharger EFI Renegade final from the number-two qualifying position, but his 1986 Mustang broke, while Tim Lyons sailed to the win in 9.263 secs and 145.18 mph.
