Mike Larson's blown Hemi-powered '72 Nova was low qualifier at 7.380/187.61.

It was number two qualifier, David Nance, who would end up in the winners circle with his '98 Mustang from Inwood, NY. The rules for this class required mufflers, head and tail lights, 14-inch maximum wing, 3,000 lbs. with 10.5 wide slicks or 3,200 lbs. for 18.5 maximum DOT tires.


In the final, David Nance took the win as Bill Futch broke on the line.
