CAREER
BEST? SO WHAT?
Mike Castellana, Mike Stawicki, Bill Kuhlmann,
Scott Ray, Marty McGinnis, Johnny Rocca, Wayne
Torkelson, and Zach Barklage all ran career
best elapsed times for an NHRA Pro Mod event
and didn't qualify for the eight-car show. Talk
about frustrating!
SEE YA, BRO!
Mitch and Quain Stott met in the semi-final
round in what is becoming one of the most intense
family rivalries in motorsports outside of NASCAR's
Bodine bros. Quain got the leave but younger
brother, Mitch, saved his best lap of the event
for this race and his 6.09 was too much for
Quain.
BIRD BEAK?
Wayne Torkelson brought his newly nosed '57
T-Bird to E-Town. The nose is off of a '53 'Vette,
but the Torkelson crew has a T-Bird paint scheme
and it is supposed to be the nose off of a new
2002 T-Bird. It actually looks a little like
the new T-Bird just needs better graphics.
