PRO
Rob Nixon of West Chester, Ohio made the long
tow worthwhile as he took his '69 Baracuda to
a win over Richmond, Missouri racer Tony Haase
and his '74 Duster.
SPORTSMAN
Regardless of where or what group he races
with, IHRA Top Stock hitter Marlin Bogner is
tough to beat. And so it was at KCIR. Bogner,
from Kearney, Missouri marched his '79 Aspen
right into the winner's circle, taking out Orb
McCoy and his '72 Cuda from Westland, Michigan.
NOSTALGIA SUPER STOCK
This was one of the most interesting eliminators
at KCIR, as a group known as the Texas Outsiders
towed north to duke it out with the Ohio regulars.
In the end, it was a home-stater, Jim Hagenhoff
(photo) of Holt's Summit, Missouri who staved
off all the invaders, Texas and Ohio alike.
In the final, Hagenhoff's '65 Belvedere "American
Muscle" stopped Bob Kanar's '69 Dart from Gregory,
Michigan.
