Nick Scavo ran a very
impressive 7.061 in his '69 Camaro to set the
pace in Ramchargers Super Street qualifying,
but at the end of the day it was the 2000 Mustang
of number-three qualifier Greg Blevins Jr. (shown)
going to victory lane. Blevins beat the '95
Achieva driven by Doug Smith in the final round.

The Edelbrock Pro Nostalgia
title in Columbus went to number-one qualifier
Jim Pancake with his hemi-powered '68 Barracuda.
Pancake, from Delaware, OH, ran 5.723 in the
1/8th against the 5.771 laid down by Walhalla,
SC's Johnny Kelley in a similar machine.

It may not be the prettiest
car in Limited Street, but "Mustang Mike" Modeste's
turbocharged Cobra is the quickest as he became
the first to officially break into the sevens
with a 7.95 in qualifying and this 7.94 in the
first round of eliminations. Incredibly, the
Brooklyn, NY-based racer went even quicker in
Friday's time trials with a 7.93 at more than
176 mph.

Rick Golobo took his beautiful
'67 'Vette to his career-first NX Nostalgia
Pro Street final, but had to face championship-winning
cousin Rob Golobo and his 2002 SS Camaro, who
left first and never looked back on his way
to a 4.942-secs win at 144.36 mph.
